As loyal readers will know, more than once Luxemozione articles have been published regarding the use of LED lighting and road, particularly about a year ago I wrote an article that has enjoyed some success: LED street lighting : present or future? Ben 36 comments! a record totally abandons blog!
Personally, LED technology, a little 'how all the electronic world is evolving exponentially, and I assure you it is hard to keep up with all the advances and innovations in the case.
But it is important to know how widespread the interest of finding the ideal light source to make us save energy, often leading to release of news comlpletamente false, or even to publicize achievements which, like that of Torraca have as ultimate goal to advertise an event, not to create an installation in a workmanlike manner, in a single word charlatan!
For forutuna there are initiatives such as those that will come now to describe. In fact you should know that the U.S. Department of Energy, the DOE (U.S. Department of Energy) is conducting a series of tests on its all'utlizzo LED lighting Street.
A few days ago was published the minutes of the third test phase, which follows a phase where I was placed under review the installation of some "lamp" LED in an area of a park, a phase II where instead it has analyzed the behavior of some poles LED road lighting from 78W to replace other sources with 100W high pressure sodium each.
In the last phase III and the stakes LED used in a phase II were replaced with LEDs arranged but with the new generation for a total of approximately 58.3 W average absorbed. Electrical and qualitative analysis performed in this phase is similar to that of Phase II.
From this comparison showed that first of all with the new generation of LED lighting can be achieved similar to that obtained in Phase II, but with an absorbance of less, when I talk about lighting similar does not mean just in terms of quantity but also qualitative, that is how you distribute the light on the roadway.
Here, then projecting the results of this analysis over 12 months of operation what you see:
Savings of about 26% due to lower absorption of the phase II and III.
Savings due to lower average cost of road equipment of new generation LED
Maintenance of lighting performance.
In the PDF attached here (who are also here) you will find all the details of this monitoring: Electric and lighting and tables comparative.Ovviamente the units used are Saxon below the relationship between FC and Lux, and here a calculator to convert:
From FC to LUX (and vice versa):
LUX x .0929 = FC = FC x .10.76 LUX
(500 lux = 46 FC) (50 FC = 538 LUX)
Well, a good comparative analysis, which serves to help a little 'more to understand the issue not simply of street lighting to LED.
Merry Christmas to all!
the next.
