Fermi tutti! But mistake or a few days will begin on the Salone del Mobile 2009? Point of reference for the international design which, though depressed, does not stop at nothing: "There is a crisis? No there is the Salone del Mobile, "is as mentioning the posters that advertise the event, to avoid the black beast.

But this is also the year of Euroluce, biennial event which is based in Milan, just at the feast of design, and this year, because of adverse events that are affecting the international economic landscape, will be sadly remembered as proud of the great missing (but will not miss out the salon).

However ban on personal reflections (for these I refer you to an article a few weeks ago.) Today I will just point out the only public event related to the light that the fair is able to organize (which coincidentally just happens to coincide the MiArt 2009), I'm talking about = N = V = O = C = A = T = I = O = N (I call your image to mind), light installation created by the Welsh Cerith Wyn Evans expressly for Euroluce.
A huge sculpture by seven meters in diameter, made of neon tubes that twist to form a cloud of light, shall rise in the garden of the Triennale di Milano, viale Alemagna 6, Milan since the evening of April 22, and will remain on display until 21 June, and well beyond the duration of the Show.
Element in a vacuum that represents the many perceptions of light to us family members, past technologies (analog) and future (not yet known), blocked and revealed within this interweaving of tubes:
"The burnt traces of light sources echoed like a ghost in the memory of our analog technologies, recently became old, are the source and inspiration of this work. Suspended in this severe historical architecture, numerous events and invoke ornamented with lights, the trajectory of a firework, scanning a cell phone that tries to capture the trail of a jet high in the sky above. Greeting the fireflies, their chaotic ways baffling, fantastic sull'intreccio that subtle forms of communication and teach that we do not understand and failed constantly. What other resources, such as other energies are still untapped and untold? Knows! It's just electricity. Yet research on the light. " This is the description that Evans makes his work.
