Ahhh good Monday to all, dear friends fans lighting, thirsty for knowledge and wish to increase your lighting culture, to start the week well I tell you one thing that certainly will interest me: the Light Lab of Politecnico di Milano for the academic year 2009-2010 organizes mono disciplinary courses dedicated to the lighting, which joins the broader program of Master in Lighting Design I mentioned a few days ago.
We say that unless you have the opportunity to enroll in the Master because of time or for obvious economic reasons, not demoralizzatevi Well, you can always decide to attend one of these courses, it finally managed to bring out your innate desire to make light.
So here comes the first in the list of these "micro-master", or Lighting Design by CAD Fundamentals (4th edition), which will begin in October and will end in November 2009 and aims to introduce and address the issues to Lighting Design, indoors and outdoors, from the basics of lighting design, until you get to real applications on platform CAD applications and lighting.
The course is aimed at all those professionals and non-graduates or not, who want to approach the world of enlightenment. We begin by looking to the physical and mathematical aspects of light, the assumption required to speak in a language appropriate lighting and common, approaching little by little what is the approach to lighting design every day: the choice of lighting fixture, the regulatory aspect and of course checking lighting and economical.
The course will be divided into 6 modules (84 hours) which are planned exercises and applications of CAD. Let's see 'the program:
Part 1 - 4 hours
Fundamentals of photometry nature of light. Process of vision. Features-color spectrum of light sources. Analysis of core and auxiliary photometric magnitudes.
2 nd module - 4 hours
Light sources in the interior light sources for interior: features and performance.
Part 3 - 20 hours
Lighting design interior lighting design guidelines for the interior. Normative References. Analysis and verification of lighting design in various fields of application of affairs: workplace, spaces erative part of entertainment.
4 module - 4 hours
Light sources in the external light sources for outdoor use: features and performance.
5th module - 20 hours
Lighting Design Exterior Lighting Design guidelines for building exteriors. Normative references.
Analysis and testing of projects in various fields of light outside: street furniture, streets, tunnels.
6th form - 32 hours
Designing with CAD Data Store catalog (appliances, photometric surveys, lamps). Creation, exchange and database upgrades photometric (locally and via internet). Importing photometry. View, print graphics and tables. Normative references. Fundamentals of computer graphics and real-time photorealistic: definition of the environment, management of materials and textures, furnishings management, management of equipment, management of the calculations, display of results and management's estimation and metric calculations. Tutorial project.
Total cost of the course is 1280 euros. The cost of individual modules of 4 hours is 100 euros each., 20 or 32 hours is 400 euros each.
